About This Community
Welcome to the vibrant Orthodox community of Springfield, NJ, where Rabbi Chaim Marcus leads Congregation Israel with unwavering dedication. This close-knit community offers an inviting, out-of-town feel just 30 minutes outside the bustling energy of NYC.
At the heart of this community are about 100 young families, creating a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere within the "one shul" out of town feeling. Here, everyone feels at home, welcomed by a warmth that extends beyond the shul’s walls.
Education is a priority here, with two outstanding Modern Orthodox day schools, JEC/RTMA/Bruriah & JKHA/RKYHS, both conveniently located within an 18-minute drive from Springfield.
Springfield offers a selection of Kosher options including Bagels Supreme, Tokyo Hibachi, Rye Deli, Scoop of Jo, and Krispy Kreme. Moreover, supermarkets stocked with fresh kosher products, meats, fish, and cheese cater to the needs of the community. Springfield's prime location, just 30 minutes from NYC and within reach of northern NJ, provides residents with access to a wide range of job opportunities in both areas. Its strategic position makes commuting feasible, offering the benefits of suburban living while connecting residents to bustling employment hubs.
