MERRICK is a warm and vibrant community that is conveniently located on Long Island. Merrick is an “in-town” community with an “out-of-town” feel. Just a 42-minute train ride from Manhattan and Brooklyn, with accessibility to many highways, and affordable housing.
There is a wide range of housing prices in Merrick, with beautiful homes available in the eruv for as low as $400K. With moderately ranged taxes, there is something for everyone. Merrick is minutes away from scenic parks, great shopping options, many fun things to do with the family and both Jones Beach and Long Beach.
Our community has two vibrant Orthodox shuls, Young Israel of Merrick and Congregation Ohav Sholom. Merrick is also home to a brand new, state-of-the-art community mikvah, an eruv, a Judaica store and kosher food that is available locally in supermarkets and at our delicious dairy restaurant. We are also within close driving distance to West Hempstead, the Five Towns, Queens and Suffolk County. Living in Merrick also gives you access to many of the local yeshiva day schools with free bussing to most of them as well.
Choose between multiple daily minyanim, classes and shiurim, and many fun social programs for the whole family. With an active NCSY chapter and Shabbat and weekday youth programs, there is always something happening in Merrick!
Don’t take our word for it – come spend a Shabbat in Merrick and see for yourself why this is the right place for you. We’re sure that you will fall in love from your first Shabbat!
