Rockville is a popular suburban city, easily accessible to DC by Metro. It is the heart of Montgomery County, with all the major shopping and businesses in the area, including a kosher supermarket, kosher restaurants, and the JCC and Federation campuses. The Berman Hebrew Academy, an Orthodox day school serving over 800 students, is also housed in Rockville due to its central location among a number of other Orthodox communities in Silver Spring, Potomac, and Olney, and its more affordable real estate.
Kehilat Pardes is a Modern Orthodox congregation nestled along Rock Creek Park, in the beautiful Aspen Hill neighborhood of Rockville. The shul has a strategic partnership with the Berman Hebrew Academy and meets inside their building with access to an incredible campus that includes basketball and tennis courts, multiple playgrounds, classrooms, social hall, kitchen and varied meeting spaces.
In the past 10 years, the community grew from 20 to 105 households, with over 150 school-age children. During this time, Rabbi Uri and Dahlia Topolosky have served as the spiritual leaders of the community, and help to oversee the neighborhood eruv, mikvah, as well as a plethora of youth, women's and community programming. This includes our signature events, such as the Women's Open Mic Night and Community Jewish Book Drive, as well as tot and adult musical programming.
