Congregation Beth Israel is a diverse Orthodox Synagogue located in the Metairie suburb of New Orleans. Our community boasts a Kosher Deli and an upscale Moroccan restaurant, a kosher market, a mikveh, JCC, Day School, and an eruv. New Orleans' renowned Cafe Du Monde is also now certified kosher. Our Congregation has a new, young, Rabbinic Family in Rabbi Uri and Dahlia Topolosky and we have launched the "Minyan Project" -- our commitment to relocate 10 young families to the community by offering financial incentives, job assistance, and good old Southern hospitality. Incentives can include housing rental or loan subsidy, moving allowance, low-cost tuition at the New Orleans Jewish Day School, and free memberships to community organizations. This is a community where you can make a difference.
