About This Community

Bensalem, Pennsylvania is located north of Philadelphia in beautiful Bucks County. It is 25 minutes from Northeast Philadelphia, under 1 hour from Lakewood, and less than 90 minutes from Brooklyn. Bensalem is centrally located near the major communities of the tri-state area.

Under the leadership of Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Travitsky, Jewish life in Bensalem has blossomed. In this close-knit and warm community, every person makes a difference. Currently, Bensalem boasts a shul, kollel, mikvah, eruv, preschool, and a vibrant outreach organization.

Within a 15-20 minute drive are schools, kosher shopping, and dining which are easily accessible. Bensalem is a very safe and stable place to raise a family and has been listed as one of the "Top 100 Places to Live" by Money Magazine.

Homes and rental apartments can be found within the eruv, with homes starting at 350K. Jobs can be found in all the major industries such as accounting, law, medicine, management, and administration. Agencies are eagerly looking to hire all types of therapists and community members can make use of our local Jewish job network made up of local Jewish business owners.

Tuition is made affordable by the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, which allows schools to grant generous scholarships. Taxes in Bensalem (Bucks County) are lower than in the surrounding areas.
